Emma -- There you are! I am so thankful that you and your knee are getting such wonderfully good care in Britain! Im sure you miss Jamaica's ocean breezes, but to me, you are exactly where you need to be -- and I'm thanking the Almighty for taking such good care of you!
Dear Susan, So grateful for your comments and you are right, I am being well looked after and happy! We are near the sea here, so we get ocean breezes and seagulls sailing overhead…The air is much cleaner and we have had gorgeous sunshine every day since we arrived. Amazing!
Sorry to hear of your mandatory introduction to the NHS! As I say to all of my friends when they have a healthcare confrontation - be a good patient!! By the way - be sure and flex/extend your ankle while you are limited in your activity level - discourages the possibility of clot formation. Good luck!!
We hear so much of the NHS, which Britons love to hate, but your experience, at least this time, puts it in the win column. I'm thrilled that you looked over your shoulder and thought about Ja, not for the latte, but at least for the X-Ray machine...if you weren't still sitting on a bench waiting to be called
